Welcome to the newly redesigned site, TheGolfDad.com!

TheGolfdad.com was founded in 2007 out of a father/son project.  My name is Richie Truxillo, and I have been playing golf since I was 6 years old when my father placed a club into my hands.  Since then I’ve been casually playing the game.  I shoot mid to high 80s and I keep coming back for more.

The idea for thegolfdad.com came to me when working with a physician friend of mine in medical school.  He would buy clubs on ebay but have trouble finding what he needed to get a good deal.  I set out to find a way to categorize specifically what golfers needed to find a great deal on ebay.  Since 2007, over 1000 people have found a set of golf clubs through this site and the number is growing each day.  It is my wish that you find your new driver, or that new set of Mizuno irons you’ve been pining for through my site.  Not only that, I hope it is below retail price when you win your bid!  Cheaper golf equipment means more money to pay your greens fees.

Until then, I’m in my residency in Roanoke, VA so my golf time is limited, but rest assured, you’ll see me out on the links on Wednesday afternoons soon enough!
